Top Ten Rules 2017 – The Hendry Trophy – Rules (revised April 2017)

01. The competition is confined to male members of member clubs

02. The competition is to be run on a knockout basis and played under World Bowls Laws of the Sport Edition 3

03. No member of a club may play in this competition while representing another Constituent club in any other Perthshire Bowling Association in any one season

04. Early rounds to be played on first team green on Monday Nights in July

05. Semi-finals and final will be played first Sunday in August

06. The competition will consist of Singles /Pairs /Triples /Fours:

The singles to be 21 shots with 4 bowls each player
The pairs to be 17 ends with 4 bowls each player
The triples to be 15 ends with 3 bowls each player
The fours to be 17 ends with 2 bowls each player

07. Team captains or the umpire will toss a coin to decide on possession of the jack at the first end

08. Two trial ends will be played in all games

09. Burnt ends do not count

10. The ten players representing the club in the semi-final must play in the final although players may change positions.

11. Singles start 30 minutes after the other games

12. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances and or the umpires decision 11 or more ends will constitute a game, scores will be taken at
least number of ends played including singles . Up to and including the 10th end the game will rearranged by the host club. Scores will continue from when the
games were stopped. Two trial ends will be allowed in rearrange games

13. Two points will be awarded for each game, should the points and shots be equal then the winner of the singles will decide the result

14. Dress Code Greys and Whites or Club Colours.
